fiber arts camp
Join us for our 7th annual Fiber Arts Camp!
Spend July 8 - 12, 2024 (10am-3pm) making friends, creating art and crafting
in the shady barn using wool and other natural materials.
Ages 7 to 14.
Camp is held at our family homestead in Ashfield MA at the top of a hill
with rolling farm fields and wide open views. Families often connect and establish carpools to make getting to us easier. We are about 30 minutes from Greenfield (Rt.2 to 112), South Deerfield (Rt. 116) and Northampton (via Rt.9 and 112)

We've got great activities planned for our 2024 camp:
- learn and/or practice a different fiber craft each day: weaving, embroidery, knitting, and needle & wet felting
- also rock painting, mini embroidery, jump roping and hula hooping.......and camp favorite - junk journaling!
- experience the entire "sheep to sweater" processing by turning our sheep wool into yarn
- dye some wool using local plants like goldenrod, apple bark or marigold.
- meet the sheep, chickens and our charming goose, Edna. This year we hope to have lambs as well!
- each day we take a pasture walk or play games in the yard
- healthful snacks provided mid-morning
Fiber Arts Camp cost is $325 and includes all materials. Secure your child’s place by sending a $95 non-refundable deposit as early as possible. The balance of $230 will be due by June 1st. Mail check to the address on registration form or Venmo @lisa-fortin
We are tick, poison ivy, sunburn and allergy aware. Let us know if you have any specific concerns and have your child bring along any sunblock or bug protection you prefer. Safety is priority! Shoes must be worn at all times unless playing in the grassy yard. We are a working farm and feet are safest in shoes. We use electric fencing for our sheep but no fence will be electrified during camp time.
